Open Corsair’s iCUE software and chose your keyboard device. Click Options, select the Turn on numeric key pad check box, and then click OK. If you have a K55 keyboard: Unplug your keyboard. Maybe you hit FN + F5 and toggled to non-existent 2nd display and didn't work then? FN + F7 turns off the touch pad. The top rows keys (Esc and the F-keys) are activating media/function keys. Interrupt your computer’s normal startup (hit Enter at the launch screen) Enter your System BIOS. In case it's relevant the computers have Trend Micro and Malwarebytes installed.Įdit_3: Replacing the keyboard driver with a different driver or uninstalling & reinstalling the driver resolves the issue until the computer is restarted, after which the issue resumes.Įdit_4: The issue persists regardless of which user is logged onto the computer.Įdit_5: While remotely connecting to the computer it works without issue. If this doesn't work, double-check that the keys themselves aren't clogged with dust or other dirt by cleaning out your keyboard with a specialised keyboard cleaner. Also this shouldn't be a malware issue as the computers are new desktops from Dell and using new Dell peripherals as well. Of the three users that have this issue only two share the Num-Pad issue and all three are using the same version of Office and Windows.īoth computers are Windows 10 with Office 2019.Įdit_1: I recently had to install office 2013 on one of the systems and the issue persisted.Įdit_2: I have tried at least two different keyboard models, one of which was wireless. I’ve tried a variety of different ways to bring it up but the closest I get is it running as a background task. I am also having an issue that may be related where three users cannot use the on-screen keyboard. I have checked for scroll lock and mouse keys. I have tried multiple keyboards as well as deleting/updating the keyboard drivers on both computers. Two users are having this issue and I've only observed this behavior in Excel. The inverse applies if I start with an arrow key and then use the corresponding number. If I hit the 8 Key on the number pad several times and then use the dedicated Up Arrow Key(to the left of the Num-Pad) it will, for about three clicks, act as though I'm hitting the 8 Key.
